Church Bells
The belfry in the church tower contains a ring of bells held in their original oak frame. These bells were originally cast in the mid-1500s. Three of them are original, the fourth (treble) was cracked and had to be recast in 1909.
Bell | Weight | Inscription |
Treble | 200 Kg | S. Maria Ora Pro Nobis |
Second | 350 Kg | S. Katarina Ora Pro Nobis |
Third | 450 Kg | All Praise Be To God On Hi |
Tenor | 750 Kg | Sancte Luca Ora Pro Nobis |
The bells were made by the Whitechapel Bell Foundry, and are still maintained by them.
